Our Five-Step Process for Going Solar in TexasServing Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas / Fort Worth TX
Making the switch to solar is a big decision and investment – that’s why we strive to make the entire process as simple as possible. We make sure you have all the information you need to make a smart decision. We are always upfront about solar system capabilities for your home, even if it means solar isn’t right for you.
Energy Consultation
This is where it all starts! Your Account Manager will walk you through the process of detailing your current energy footprint and then compare it to your home’s solar potential.
We create our solar proposals to be easy to read and understand, providing exactly what you need to make an informed decision about whether or not going solar is right for you. We insist on a no-pressure approach, and we are happy to answer as many questions as you can come up with.
Site Assessment
Our Site Assessors are a vital part of our design and installation process. They’re well versed in building and electrical codes, utility rebate requirements, and the basics of Solar PV Design.
A Site Assessment has four key parts: electrical inspection, roof inspection, shade analysis, and basic roof measurements. Our site assessors have an intimate understanding of how to maximize your solar potential.
In-House Design
Our Design Team utilizes the latest industry tools and technology to create the most accurate, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing rooftop arrays possible.
Our PV Design Tool, SolarCalc, is one-of-a-kind. No other solar company has anything like it. We consistently receive feedback from customers that our design department helped them visualize how the solar panels would look on their roof, and how that helped them go forward with solar.
Paperwork & Permitting
Paperwork and permitting might sound overwhelming, but don’t worry, it’s all part of our turnkey process. From your HOA approval to the required permits and utility docs, Longhorn Solar handles 100% of the paperwork process for you.
